Prisma Health Urgent Care seeks talented, patient-oriented Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners dedicated to exceptional customer service by putting patients’ needs first.

We are hiring Providers for FT (30 or 36 hours) and PT (24 hours) schedules ONLY. At this time, we do NOT have opportunities for PRN/Per Diem and are not hiring new graduates
.

Life/Work Balance: flexible 3-day/12-hour week (8am‑8pm) for FT status. No overnight shifts required.

• Plan, evaluate, and implement high‑quality medical care with appropriate resource management to patients, both adults and children, in cooperation with center physicians.
• Adhere to the service and courtesy standards of Prisma Health Urgent Care by delivering the highest standard of patient satisfaction at all times.
• Provide patient care within the respective clinical area complying with the Professional Staff Bylaws, rules, regulations, and Prisma Health Urgent Care policies and procedures.
• Serve as a resource for patients/families and staff.
• Authenticate a report of all services rendered and maintain accurate and complete records.
• Complete necessary documentation and ensure communication to facilitate patient care and appropriate reimbursement.
• Participate in meetings and activities to support operations of the urgent care.
• Participate in professional development activities, maintain certification in BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, or NALS and maintain any additional specialty training/certifications required for the assigned area.
• Report to the Regional Vice President of Clinical Operations and/or Area Clinical Operations Director (ACOD).

• Current and valid license to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP‑C or FNP‑BC) or Physician Assistant (PA‑C) in South Carolina.
• Advanced degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current DEA registration.
• Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses.
• Experience with interpreting diagnostic studies including X‑rays and EKGs.
• BLS certification (will be provided if needed).
• Meet eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by Well Street Urgent Care.
• Preferred experience in urgent care, family medicine, or emergency medicine.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills with patients, families, and employees.
