Description
Pay: $19.13/Hour
Job Summary:We are seeking a versatile CDL Equipment Operator to transport vital materials and assist in the maintenance of county roads and bridges. In this role, you will operate a variety of machinery – from haul trucks to front-end loaders – while performing essential laboring and preventive maintenance tasks to keep our infrastructure safe and efficient.
Top Responsibilities:- Material Transport & Spreading:
Safely operate CDL vehicles to haul and spread gravel, dirt, and asphalt. - Equipment Operation:
Utilize front-end loaders, steel wheel rollers, and patching machines for road construction and ditching. - Preventative Maintenance:
Conduct daily fluid/safety checks and perform routine maintenance to ensure equipment longevity.

Requirements
What you Bring:- Experience: Maintaining facilities, knowledge in areas such as landscaping, general maintenance and/or general construction
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Skill Highlight: Ability to adapt, plan, and perform maintenance under changing conditions, Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Licenses/Certifications: Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid commercial driver’s license issued by the state of SC (Class A, Class B CDL with air brakes). Clean driving record and the ability to maintain insurability.
