Who We AreSonnax provides innovative transmission repair products for the automotive aftermarket and industrial sectors utilizing drivetrain components. Partnering with transmission rebuilders, our R&D teams identify failing OEM parts and design components to repair or enhance automatic transmissions, meeting a wide range of performance and warranty needs.
What You'll DoThe Control System Engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing, and continuous production support of control systems for end-of-line test equipment for hydraulic control solenoids, mechanical and electromechanical products. The engineer will collaborate with a cross-functional team both on site and remotely to ensure that all products meet safety, performance, and efficiency standards.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced experience and proficiency in programming with Lab View including machine control, data acquisition and analysis.
- In-depth understanding of control system design techniques.
- Strong understanding of Statistical Process Controls and related techniques.
- Familiarity with control panel design, panel wiring, and field wiring diagrams.
- Lean practices knowledge (Green-belt preferred).
- Electronics expertise, including troubleshooting to component level and understanding of analog and digital circuitry and circuit design.
- Proficiency with electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, spectrum analyzers).
- Experience with microcontroller platforms (e.g., Arduino) and familiarity with PLC ladder logic.
- Knowledge of communication protocols (Serial, SPI, I2C, GPIB, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Ethernet, TCP/IP).
