Job Details:

• Work 4x10 day shifts with call rotation

• Take call once a week and 2 possible weekend call shifts consisting of Saturday/Sunday

• Patient ratio of 1:1

• 40 hours of orientation provided

• One weekend shift per contract required

• One pre-approved time off day allowed

• Must have 2.5-3 years of experience required, 4 years preferred

• Travel experience required - will not accept first-time travelers

• C-Section experience required

• Trauma/gunshot wound experience required

• EPIC charting system experience required

• Required certifications: CNOR, ACLS, BLS, PALS

• Must have general OR experience across multiple specialties including endoscopic procedures, general surgery, gynecological procedures, orthopedic/spine procedures, urological procedures, and vascular procedures

• Float within hospital as needed

• Work with patients of all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

• Operate in 5 OR rooms until 3pm, then 3 rooms until 5pm with call crew taking over after hours

• Work with specialized equipment including Mako robot

• Valid state or compact nursing license required

Facility:

This busy rural hospital operates a comprehensive surgical department with 5 operating rooms and provides a wide range of surgical services including general surgery, OB/GYN with C-sections, orthopedics with total joint replacements, pediatric orthopedics, ophthalmology, vascular surgery, urology, and pulmonology procedures. The facility maintains a daily census of approximately 25 patients and offers interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
