Security Officer - Armed Response Driver

As a Security Officer - Armed Response Driver in Laurinburg, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed patrol officer on a driving post. You will patrol assigned areas, remain highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, professional communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to all site personnel and visitors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a government corrections location.
• Carry and maintain authorized issued equipment in accordance with licensing, training, and post requirements, and help to deter unauthorized activity through a professional armed presence.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, documenting actions taken, and/or supporting site staff as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter fencing, and access routes, monitoring for unusual conditions, contraband indicators, and/or policy violations.
• Control access at designated points by verifying identification, screening entrants and vehicles as directed, maintaining visitor and/or vehicle logs, and completing written reports for security-related incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
