Revenue Manager – Lausanne (British American Tobacco Switzerland)In this role you will act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to the Commercial organisation, providing robust financial insight and challenge to support revenue, customer, and channel investment decisions. It involves analysing market dynamics, competitor pricing, and customer behaviour to inform pricing strategies that optimises revenue and supports sustainable performance. The role strengthens commercial discipline by driving value‑focused decisions and ensuring pricing and revenue initiatives align with business goals and will report to the Senior Commercial Finance Manager.
Yourkey responsibilities will include:
Business Partnering
- Partner Commercial and Trade teams to support revenue and investment decisions through clear financial insight and constructive challenge.
- Translate financial outcomes into commercial implications to enable informed decision‑making.
- Provide financial insights to Marketing and relevant cross‑functional teams to support strategic pricing and revenue decisions.
- Support the planning, deployment, and evaluation of customer and channel investments, ensuring focus on value creation.
- Analyse market trends, competitor pricing strategies, and customer behaviours to drive pricing optimisation.
- Provide insights on trade activities, promotions, pricing structures, and assortment choices, balancing revenue, profitability, and cash.
- Analyse customer and channel profitability to identify opportunities and risks.
- Apply sound financial judgement to support commercial negotiations, scenario analysis and post‑evaluation of outcomes.
- Contribute to TCI, pricing, excise and RGM‑related topics within agreed governance and market frameworks.
- Balance short‑term performance delivery with longer‑term value considerations.
- Ensure accurate reporting, performance tracking and adherence to internal controls across revenue‑related activities.
- Support continuous improvement of KPIs, tools and analysis to strengthen decision quality.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of reporting and analysis to support commercial decision‑making.
- Maintain adherence to internal controls, internal marketing governance frameworks, and compliance requirements.
- Support continuous improvement of KPIs, reporting tools, and analytical methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimise pricing structures and revenue‑related KPIs.
- Support senior commercial finance leadership with insights for budget reviews, forecasts, and actuals.
- Influence outcomes without direct ownership of specialist agendas by presenting clear financial insights grounded in commercial understanding.
- 5–7 years’ experience in revenue management, pricing, commercial finance, or a related analytical role.
- Proven experience in strategic pricing, commercial decision‑making, or revenue optimisation.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and insight generation.
- Effective communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
- Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis.
- Leadership capability to guide and influence others (direct or indirect report settings).
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related fields.
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
