Mandate

In collaboration with the Plant Manager to meet production deadlines, the Procurement and Purchasing Agent will be responsible for the following:

• Performing daily purchasing for the operation of our offices and manufacturing facilities
• Maintaining the inventory system on a daily basis
• Researching new products and recent suppliers
• Negotiating prices, payment terms, and discounts with current and potential suppliers and subcontractors
• Reviewing incoming vendor contracts and ensuring they meet the company’s established parameters
• Reading incoming contracts and calculating the required quantities of fabric, hardware, and/or accessories needed for production, then placing the necessary orders
• Actively supporting each department in monitoring seasonal inventory
• Regularly reassessing minimum and maximum order quantities and defining required purchases

• Bachelor's degree or College Diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, or any other equivalent field of study
• 1 to 3 years of experience in procurement/purchasing
• Excellent communication skills in both French and English, written and spoken
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently while managing priorities effectively
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to make informed decisions
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and across multiple functions
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in task execution
• Excellent interpersonal skills that foster effective professional relationships and interactions
