Children’s Support Worker - Payukotayno

Serve your community as a Frontline Support Worker with Payukotayno, enhancing the lives of children and families in Northern Ontario. This role focuses on providing logistical and cultural support in various challenging situations.

Working across multiple locations such as Cochrane and Timmins, you will assist children and youth in navigating their needs during appointments and transitions. Your culturally sensitive approach will ensure a supportive environment that honors Omushkego values. Contributing to team efforts and community participation is integral to this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer care and supervision to children and youth

• Accompany families to appointments and ensure their safety

• Support the inventory of supplies for children in care

• Participate in agency meetings and cultural events

• Maintain thorough documentation of support activities

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Caregiving experience in community settings

• Flexibility and reliability in supporting families

• Ability to uphold confidentiality and maintain documentation

• Access to a vehicle and availability for flexible hours
