Then join us as a Personal Banker and demonstrate your subject matter expertise in providing sound financial planning advice to promote customer loyalty and investment returns.
Responsibilities- Advising customers on high-level financial solutions, including investment and credit banking solutions.
- Engaging with customers by asking thoughtful financial questions to create positive experiences and deepen relationships.
- Increasing customer financial confidence by providing personalized financial advice, answering questions, and addressing concerns; escalating matters as appropriate while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
- Acting as a point of contact for frontline staff in handling customer problems.
- Maintaining a professional appearance in common areas as per marketing and regulatory guidelines.
- Working closely with existing and prospective customers to provide financial reviews, discuss portfolio updates, and suggest additional personalized solutions based on their goals.
- Staying knowledgeable about emerging issues, evolving regulations and industry codes of conduct, and participating in process improvement opportunities to protect the organization’s interests.
- Striving to achieve and improve service level agreements and productivity targets.
- Ensuring documents are prepared in accordance with relevant regulations and properly reflect business intentions.
- Participating fully as a team member, helping build a positive and diverse work environment, mentoring others, and addressing communication issues efficiently.
- High school diploma and/or at least one year of relevant experience.
- Post‑secondary or undergraduate degree in a related field is an asset.
- Completion of IFIC or equivalent required.
- Completion of CFSA within 12 months if hired.
- Real‑estate secured lending and/or investment experience is an asset.
- Sound knowledge of advanced investing and credit processes, banking solutions, and concepts to provide personalized advice in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency in software tools including MS Office and internet applications.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey ideas and customer information concisely and logically.
- Self‑initiator with strong organizational, planning, and time‑management skills.
