Position: Controller for Mercury's Banking Entity
Join Mercury as a Controller for our banking entity and lead the way in financial transparency and regulatory compliance. Shape the foundation of our future banking operations.

In this critical role reporting to the Corporate Controller, you'll be responsible for the accounting infrastructure necessary for our new banking services. Ideal candidates will have a wealth of experience in regulatory accounting and compliance, along with a keen interest in team collaboration and system implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create the bank's financial close process and reporting framework

• Collaborate on interest rate risk and ALM reporting

• Ensure comprehensive compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards

• Define data flows and implement core accounting systems

• Manage relationships with external auditors during reviews

Requirements:

• Over 10 years of progressive accounting experience in a banking environment

• Deep knowledge of compliance and GAAP standards

• Must possess a valid CPA certification

• Previous exposure to regulatory examinations is preferred

• Experience with building out bank accounting functions
