Job Description

As a Personal Banker, you will provide customized financial planning advice to customers, promote suitable products, and maintain strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Advising customers on a range of investment and credit banking solutions
  • Engaging with customers through thoughtful financial questions to create positive experiences
  • Increasing customer financial confidence by providing personalized advice, addressing concerns, and escalating matters as needed
  • Acting as a point of contact for frontline staff in handling customer problems
  • Maintaining professional spaces according to marketing and regulatory guidelines
  • Providing financial reviews, discussing portfolio updates, and suggesting customized solutions based on goals
  • Staying current with emerging issues, regulations, and industry codes of conduct, and participating in process improvement initiatives
  • Pursuing service-level and productivity targets
  • Ensuring documents meet relevant regulatory requirements and reflect business intentions
  • Contributing as a team member, promoting a positive and diverse work environment, and mentoring colleagues
Qualifications
  • High school diploma and at least 1 year of relevant experience, or post-secondary education in a related field
  • Completion of IFIC or equivalent; CFSA to be completed within 12 months if hired
  • Experience in real estate secured lending and/or investment is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of advanced investing and credit processes, banking solutions, and concepts
  • Proficiency in MS Office and internet applications
  • Effective communication skills and concise, logical presentation of ideas
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills
