The Role

We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic individual to join our national Canadian Business team as a Merchandising Project Manager. In this role, you will support the implementation of Merchandise Marketing strategies across multiple business units to achieve key business objectives.

The Merchandising Project Manager will collaborate closely with both the National and Business Unit Marketing and Merchandising teams on category management initiatives, as well as the development of new concepts. This includes introducing new equipment platforms and tailored programs designed to meet the specific needs of each category, with the goal of enhancing product promotions and increasing overall in‑store visibility.

This role will also play a key part in supporting the execution of national and business unit sales plans, ensuring alignment with and delivery of the overall national strategy.

What You’ll Do
  • Responsible for ensuring that the organization has a positive perception among important stakeholders, such as internal and external customers & business partners.
  • Leverage a variety of data complex sources, including sales, research, internal/external insights, and current trend analytics to inform and shape optimization efforts across multiple decision sets – namely, price, assortment, promotion, and sales mix.
  • Assist the business units with planning and coordinating local & national offers, as needed.
  • Manage internal sales plan communications content for the national level and coordination and integration of Business unit specific sales plans.
  • Scale regional best practices to the national level, creating value across equipment, assortment, and merchandising concepts.
  • Analyze and implement optimal space‑to‑sell strategies, equipment profitability, and leverage opportunities.
  • Participate in national‑level communication networks and contribute to weekly reporting, as required.
  • Develop promotional plans for nationally executed programs and offers, including pricing, packaging, and associated merchandising components.
  • Test, source, develop, and/or recommend next‑generation equipment concepts; develop and recommend end‑user content related to new equipment platforms and programs.
  • Define the consumer value proposition for each dispensing platform, considering both price and experience; develop programs that support a differentiated offering.
  • Build multi‑year roadmaps that enable operating partners to attract and retain customers.
  • Establish core and required product assortments for categories on behalf of business units.
  • Lead contract negotiation efforts with national suppliers in collaboration with internal procurement partners.
  • Demonstrate strategic leadership by inspiring and mobilizing teams to embrace and drive change; effectively engage a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders; foster innovation and creativity with a focus on differentiation.
  • Foster an environment that embraces change, promotes creativity and ingenuity, encourages calculated risk‑taking, and support collaboration, while driving revenue and margin growth.
