As an advocate, you will engage in impactful policy research and work closely with diverse teams within the AMS. Responsibilities include managing the Equity Caucus and the Accessibility Issues Tracker, ensuring advocacy campaigns align with student needs. You will collaborate across the Queen’s community, emphasizing ethical standards and respectful communication to drive initiatives forward.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in research related to long-term policy initiatives
• Coordinate town hall meetings and Equity Caucus discussions
• Facilitate ongoing management of the Accessibility Issues Tracker
• Conduct research to inform AMS strategic direction
• Communicate regularly and attend relevant meetings
Requirements:
• Strong analytical and planning skills
• Ability to perform in a collaborative environment
• Skills in advocacy and policy are a plus
• Excellent prioritization abilities
• Commitment to promoting AMS mission and values
