In the Philippines, the CECI’s Volunteer Cooperation Program advances women’s economic empowerment in key sectors such as the green economy, rural agriculture, and the blue economy. This is achieved by working alongside partners to strengthen women and youth-led SMEs, cooperatives and social enterprises in sustainable agricultural value-chains. Through collaboration with Canadian volunteers and partners, the program enhances access to accelerators, innovation, finance, markets as well as gender inclusive and climate-resilient practices

* This assignment will be done from Canada without any financial compensation.

Partner organisation Functions

The main partner organization (under contract) for this assignment is The Center for Emergency Aid, Rehabilitation and Development (CONCERN), but the volunteer will also support other partner organizations of the Volunteer Cooperation Program (VCP).

In collaboration with the country team, participate in the collection, management, and oversight of data to monitor country programming.

Using the Organizational Performance Assessment tool, participate in evaluating partner organizations and provide a series of recommendations on their current situation, organizational capacities, and future needs.

Co-facilitate a series of participatory workshops with partner organizations to collectively identify needs and priority areas to support the development of organizational performance plans.

Support partner organizations in developing viable and functional performance and monitoring plans, including performance measures (key indicators).

CROSS-CUTTING RESPONSIBILITIES

Systematically integrate gender equality, human rights, and diversity approaches into all activities, ensuring the participation and representation of women and young women throughout all initiatives.

Integrate environmental issues and climate change adaptation in all activities.

Make sure to respect, at all times, the organization's guides, manuals, guidelines or instructions related to security and safety.

Participate in communication activities designed to share your volunteering experience with those around you and raise awareness of international solidarity issues which may include a fundraising activity.

Complete a weekly time sheet and send it to the person responsible at CECI Montreal;

Write the reports required by the partner organization and the CECI program.

Required skills

Hold a university degree in a relevant field (monitoring, evaluation, and learning; project management; social sciences; research).

Have strong knowledge of project and program monitoring, evaluation, and assessment.

Possess skills in qualitative and quantitative research; proficiency in Excel is required.

Have experience in learning and group facilitation.

Demonstrate excellent teamwork skills.

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
