- Fly in and Fly Out 4 Weeks On 2 Weeks Off
About the Project We are an expanding Yukon placer mining operation controlling multiple contiguous claims in the Dawson district. The operation is transitioning from validation-stage mining into scalable production with planned winter stripping and high-volume seasonal washing. We are seeking a senior placer geologist on a consulting basis to help validate ground, reduce stripping risk, and support disciplined expansion decisions.
Scope of Engagement(Phase 1 – Validation & Modeling) The consultant will:
- Review existing geological data and historical work
- Develop a conceptual alluvial model of the claim block
- Identify probable paleo channel trends and bench systems
- Design a cost-effective drill or bulk sampling program
- Interpret drill logs and build preliminary yardage/grade models
- Provide strip depth and pit targeting recommendations
- Deliver a practical, economically focused technical summary
This engagement is focused on decision-making — not academic reporting.
- Targeting map(s) and conceptual channel interpretation
- Drill grid design with rationale
- Volume and grade sensitivity modeling
- Written technical memorandum with recommendations
- Ongoing advisory support during field execution (as required)
- Registered P.Geo (Yukon eligibility preferred)
- 7+ years placer/alluvial gold experience
- Direct experience in Yukon or similar northern placer systems
- Demonstrated experience interpreting drill data in fluvial systems
- Strong understanding of:
- Permafrost impacts on deposit geometry
- Field practical and mining-oriented
- Comfortable working in active pits
- Understands strip ratio economics
- Has advised on operations exceeding 150 yd/hr
- Experience scaling exploration into production
We are not seeking hard-rock exploration specialists.
