About the Project We are an expanding Yukon placer mining operation controlling multiple contiguous claims in the Dawson district. The operation is transitioning from validation-stage mining into scalable production with planned winter stripping and high-volume seasonal washing. We are seeking a senior placer geologist on a consulting basis to help validate ground, reduce stripping risk, and support disciplined expansion decisions.

Scope of Engagement

(Phase 1 – Validation & Modeling) The consultant will:

  • Review existing geological data and historical work
  • Develop a conceptual alluvial model of the claim block
  • Identify probable paleo channel trends and bench systems
  • Design a cost-effective drill or bulk sampling program
  • Interpret drill logs and build preliminary yardage/grade models
  • Provide strip depth and pit targeting recommendations
  • Deliver a practical, economically focused technical summary

This engagement is focused on decision-making — not academic reporting.

  • Targeting map(s) and conceptual channel interpretation
  • Drill grid design with rationale
  • Volume and grade sensitivity modeling
  • Written technical memorandum with recommendations
  • Ongoing advisory support during field execution (as required)
Required Experience
  • Registered P.Geo (Yukon eligibility preferred)
  • 7+ years placer/alluvial gold experience
  • Direct experience in Yukon or similar northern placer systems
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting drill data in fluvial systems
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Permafrost impacts on deposit geometry
    • Field practical and mining-oriented
    • Comfortable working in active pits
    • Understands strip ratio economics
    • Has advised on operations exceeding 150 yd/hr
    • Experience scaling exploration into production

We are not seeking hard-rock exploration specialists.
