Experienced Side Hoe Excavator Operator

WCL is searching for an Experienced Side Hoe Excavator Operator to join our team for water and sewer construction starting April 2026. This role involves precise excavation and trench support to enhance service connections and workflow.

As a crucial team member, you will work closely with the mainline crew, ensuring the safe and effective installation of underground water and sewer systems. You should have at least three years of experience operating excavators in this specialty, as well as a strong understanding of trench safety and utility management. Your ability to follow directions accurately will enhance project efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate excavators for underground water and sewer construction

• Support trench excavation alongside mainline work

• Adhere to safety protocols and utility management

• Follow directions from Topman and Foreman

• Work efficiently with pipe layers and labor crews

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years excavator operation experience

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required

• WHMIS & CSTS 2020 certification needed

• Punctual and dependable work ethic

• Strong awareness of job site safety
