Evening Mechanic for Vehicles

Join the City of Laval as a Mechanic for Vehicles and Equipment in the Public Works Service. This temporary role focuses on repairing various motorized vehicles and equipment during evening hours.

As a Mechanic, you will perform mechanical repairs on all types of vehicles and equipment. Candidates should hold a DEP in heavy vehicles or a related area and possess a PEP card for preventive maintenance. You will also need an environmental qualification certificate and a class 5 driver's license to fulfill the responsibilities effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct mechanical repairs on motorized vehicles and equipment

• Diagnose issues with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

• Perform preventive maintenance in accordance with safety guidelines

• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations during repairs

• Contribute to a customer-oriented service approach

Requirements:

• DEP in heavy vehicles, construction machinery, or automotive mechanics

• PEP card from the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec

• Environmental qualification certificate, category H3

• Two years of relevant mechanical experience

• Class 5 driver's license required
