Industrial electrical maintenance in Nunavik calls for schematic reading, code knowledge, and reliable work on buildings, camps, and equipment.
This permanent unionized Electrician position follows a four-week rotation: two weeks worked, then two weeks rest. The work includes electrical maintenance, lighting, controls, distribution equipment, and industrial satellite generators. Candidates need a DEP in electricity, License C, 8,000 training hours, and five to eight years of related experience. French-English bilingualism is an asset.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform maintenance tasks according to established processes
- Maintain electrical systems in industrial buildings and camp
- Install, replace, and repair lighting equipment
- Repair electrical control and distribution equipment
- Connect and disconnect industrial satellite generators
- Hold a DEP in electricity
- Have License C and 8,000 training hours
- Understand electrical codes and interpret schematics
- Bring five to eight years of related experience
- Hold a valid driver's license and lift 25 kilograms
