Home Hospital Teacher

School Year, depending on student enrollment

Please note:

The assigning of home hospital teachers will be based on the credential need of the student and the number of students enrolled in the program.

$55 per hour, up to 5 hours per week

• Valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential or Education Specialist Credential

Provide instructional support to individual students approved for Home Hospital (General Ed and Special Ed). Up to 5 hours per week.

Immediate Supervisor:
Director of Student Support Services

• Provide instructional support to individual students approved for Home Hospital
• Must be familiar with APEX, or Clever
• Must be familiar with Canvas and distance learning strategies
• Maintain contact with family throughout the week
• Provide district administrator and CVISS counselor with updates regularly on student progress
• Must be able to meet with student after school hours virtually or in person
