Compensation: Academy Coordinator: 8% annually of Salary Schedule A:
Step 10, Column II, plus 1 release period;

- #1:
Quality Curriculum and Instruction- Collaborate with site and district administration to identify aligned courses; engage post‑secondary partners in developing articulation and/or dual enrollment agreements.
- Update course outlines and curriculum to align with state‑adopted CTE standards and Common Core College and Career Anchor Standards.
- Engage advisory board to provide industry‑relevant input on the program of study, pathway map, and individual pathway/classroom projects.
- #2:
Work‑Based Learning (WBL) Coordination- Work with CTE Pathway Specialist and site administration to implement procedures for WBL opportunities, including professional development, goal setting, field trips, guest speakers, internships, and data tracking.
- Communicate effectively with parent liaison, counselors, PBIS/RTI staff, and site administration to ensure understanding of the pathway program and offerings.
- #3:
Student Support- Support development and facilitation of comprehensive pathway maps, including a sequential program of study and a student intervention and incentive program.
- Coordinate incentives, academic achievement celebrations, and academy team‑building activities.
- Collaborate with counselors and site administration on scheduling of academy students and communication of support plans.

System Alignment- Develop and monitor academy budget narrative; submit budget transfers.
- Logistics: schedule WBL field trips, conference/PD paperwork, and extra‑duty paperwork; plan bi‑monthly academy meetings with support personnel.
- Develop and monitor academy goals for progress toward Linked Learning Certification.
- #5:
Industry Partnerships- Help form and run advisory board meetings; recruit industry partners and strengthen connections.
- Manage the pathway internship program and coordinate WBL field trip opportunities.
- #6:
After School/Extended Day Opportunities- Serve as advisor for Student Technical Organization to support student engagement.
- Identify and promote educational and career opportunities.
- #7:
Regional and Local Labor Market Demands- Support provided by Pathway Connections Specialist.
- #8:
Industry Certification/Employment- Develop a certificate of completion for students; research relevant industry certifications.
- #9:
Skilled Faculty- Plan and facilitate pathway learning walks; attend pathway‑specific professional development.
- #10:
Data and Evaluation- Access and analyze pathway data to meet state accountability requirements and Linked Learning progress.
- Complete annual academy report, including CAPAAR, budget narrative, and expenditure report.
- Collaborate with Pathway Specialist to collect and analyze WBL data.
- #11:
Promote CTE Programs- Market and outreach to feeder schools, business and post‑secondary partners, and community stakeholders.
- Valid California teaching credential.
- Must teach at least one period or equivalent within the academy during the school year.
- Trained or willing to be trained in implementing the Professional Learning Communities (PLC) model and Adaptive Schools Foundations.
