Step 1: $21.54 Hourly
This is an OPEN recruitment to establish a list of substitutes for the classification of Para educator.
No effort will be made to maintain a rank order of the applicants (P.C. Rule 60.100.5).
Testing ProcedureThe examination process will consist of a written examination. Applications will be screened on a regular basis, and testing will be scheduled throughout the year as needed.
Applicants will be notified of their application status via email.
DescriptionUnder the direction of an administrator and general direction of a classroom teacher and specialist, assist in the instructional support, behavioral support, personal care, and supervision of students with a wide range of disabilities. Provide intensive individualized services; participate in behavioral modification and management of students; assist students with and demonstrate proper physical care and hygienic needs; provide support with classroom organization, management, and safety.
Minimum Qualifications- Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent. Passing the Para educator Competency Examination. - Experience:
One (1) year of experience working with special needs students.
