Family Services Coordinator
Under the direction of the Executive Director of State and Federal Programs or designee, the Family Services Coordinator identifies, organizes, coordinates, and performs community outreach and services for homeless and foster youth students and families to ensure an integrated and coordinated program based on individual needs; serves as the primary liaison for service providers, community partners, shelters, District staff, and other stakeholders;
oversees and promotes District-wide parent engagement by planning and implementing capacity building activities, workshops, and other services; manages the District's Parent Center and volunteer program; oversees assigned Community Liaisons; and is responsible for assigned state and federal program monitoring compliance and reporting.

Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Commits to honoring IUSD's Mission, Vision, Core Values, Commitments, and Indicators of Student Success.Develops, plans, organizes, coordinates, promotes, and presents engaging capacity-building programs for families District-wide.Communicates and meets with referred students and family members to obtain pertinent information about family circumstances (e.g., financial status, available transportation, housing, medical insurance, etc.); provides information on assistance available through the district, public or private agencies, and/or community services based upon their particular needs.Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with students, parents, and community agencies; collects and disseminates information and materials pertaining to school programs and local services available to families by conducting a needs assessment, supplies resources and referrals to health, dental, mental health, housing services and other appropriate services.Prepares and submits referrals to community agencies for student and family needs, such as those relating to clothing, counseling, welfare, housing, employment, vision, dental and medical care.Compiles and submits required information to local and state agencies using computerized data systems; ensures accuracy and completeness of student files and updates according to current policy and requirements; prepares reports, lists, and correspondence in compliance with funding source requirements and state and federal timelines; prepares agendas, meeting minutes, handbooks, flyers, and other related documents for assigned programs.Assists parents and families in completing district and/or agency assistance forms and applications for services and transportation to appointments, as appropriate.Participates in professional development, various meetings, and maintains current knowledge and understanding of policies, regulations, and requirements of assigned programs including, but not limited to, services for unduplicated students and volunteer programs.Trains, develops, and supervises assigned Community Liaisons to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements; supports their professional growth goals; and leads initiatives to increase parent engagement at the site.Implements proven strategies to increase parent involvement in various workshops, meetings, advisory committees and other special events.Establishes, organizes, and maintains confidential files and records on students and families receiving program or referral services and home visits.Visits individuals in homes, schools, and shelters to maintain direct consistent contact with families.Oversees, operates, and promotes the District's Parent Center and volunteer program.Supervises, directs, evaluates, and holds accountable the performance and…
