Cost Accountant

Description

We are seeking a Cost Accountant to join our manufacturing team and play a key role in analyzing product costs, improving margins and supporting smarter business decisions. What You'll Do

+ Analyze raw materials, labor and overhead costs to support accurate product costing

+ Maintain and update standard costs, bills of materials and inventory-related data

+ Monitor manufacturing variances and provide reporting on cost trends and performance

+ Assist with month-end close, inventory reconciliations and financial reporting activities

+ Partner with production, operations and supply chain teams to improve cost visibility

+ Support budgeting, forecasting and margin analysis

+ Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvement and stronger controls

+ Help ensure accuracy in inventory valuation and manufacturing accounting processes

+ Assist with audits and provide documentation related to cost accounting and inventory

Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

+ 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or cost accounting

+ Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, standard costing and variance analysis

+

Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills

+ Solid analytical, problem-solving and organizational abilities

+ Strong communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams

+ Understanding of GAAP and internal controls preferred
