Staff Accountant

Pay is commensurate with experience within a range of $30.00 to $34.00 per hour. Full time, non-exempt, benefits eligible. • Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with the monthly close process.
• Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with the recording of revenue, cash receipts, and receivable accounts including providing support to the billing department.
• Assist with the processing and recording of invoices, accruals, prepaids, and payments to vendors.
• Assist and support the payroll function.
• Assist with the annual budgeting and planning process and provide in-depth insight on the identification, explanation, and correction of variances as appropriate.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, or annual reconciliations for organizational assets and liabilities.
• Assist with financial audit as well as accounting and reporting for grant programs.
• Ensuring compliance to GAAP.
• Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.
• Performing other duties as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in health care setting.
• Competent in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• High level of trust and dependability.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
• Good problem‑solving and time management skills.
