AP Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking an AP Specialist to manage day-to-day accounts payable activities and help support efficient accounting operations. This position will be responsible for accurately processing invoices and payments, maintaining financial records, collaborating with vendors and internal teams, and ensuring accounts payable activities are completed on time and accurately. What You Will Do:

• Review and enter vendor invoices accurately, ensuring proper approvals, coding, documentation, and accuracy
• Coordinate and process vendor payments according to established procedures and payment schedules
• Manage and organize accounts payable records, vendor files, and supporting documentation
• Reconcile vendor statements, research discrepancies, and respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances
• Track outstanding invoices and follow up to obtain missing approvals or documentation
• Support monthly and year-end closing activities, reporting, reconciliations, and other accounting-related responsibilities
• Maintain compliance with company policies and internal controls while protecting confidential financial and vendor information

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

• 2+ years of accounts payable or related accounting experience
• Experience with invoice processing, vendor reconciliations, and payment processing
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with computerized accounting or manufacturing systems
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and follow-through
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
