Job Description
Responsibilities include coverage of the reception desk, greeting visitors, answering and routing guest inquiries, working with confidential documents, data entry, mass mailings, and other clerical projects and duties as assigned.
* 75% greeting guests, answering questions and directing visitors.
* 20% project assistance to the dean's office staff.
* 5% special event preparation and assistance with event logistics.

Required Qualifications
* Familiarity with Microsoft suite software.
* At least one year of previous office or customer service experience.
* Available to work evenings and weekends for a 4-6pm special events (graduation, distinguished alumni dinner, King's Hawaiian Sales Competition).

Position Overview
Dean Student Assistants are the first point of contact for guests of the Dean's Office/Suite. Student Assistants are hospitable, customer-service focused professionals. They are go-getters who enjoy new unique challenges and are confident in their communication and collaboration skills. While their main priority is to support the Dean's Office staff and respond to guest inquiries, on occasion they will support the B-School Events, Facilities, Communication and HR/Finance teams on an as needed basis.
Throughout their employment, student employees will maintain and manifest positive actions that align with and support the Code of Conduct for the School of Business.

Position Requirements
During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester.
Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
Employment Conditions
(1) Student employees are not eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by the unit leadership and HR.
(2) This is an hourly/non-exempt position. A student employee cannot hold an hourly/non-exempt position and a salaried/exempt graduate or undergraduate position (GRA/GTA/GA/RUA/RGA) concurrently.
