Qualifications and skills
  • Management

    Experience:

    5 years of direct supervisory experience, overseeing multiple levels of construction estimators or related roles.
  • Electrical Estimating

    Experience:

    • 10 years of electrical construction estimating experience while employed by an electrical construction contractor.
    • Significant experience estimating very large electrical construction infrastructure installations, including low-voltage (120V–600V AC) and medium-voltage (>600V AC) cabling, conduit and raceway systems, cable tray, support structures and related load calculations, medium‑voltage terminations, site grounding systems, and cable trench installations.
    • Significant recent electrical estimating experience in the following areas is required – resume or cover letter must specify this experience and/or include a project list with these types:
      • Hyperscale data centers and other Mission Critical types of projects.
      • Advanced Technologies project environments.
    • Accustomed to successfully bidding on non-residential projects that are at least $500,000 or more in cost.
    • General contractors or roles coordinating with electrical subcontractors do not electrical estimating meet this requirement. Residential related work does not meet this requirement.
    • Preferred:
      Experience coordinating estimates on multi-trade projects.
    • Preferred:
      Experience with computerized estimating programs such as Accubid Anywhere or Enterprise.
    • Preferred:
      Understanding of NECA labor units.
    • Preferred: LEED Certification.
  • Education:

    High school Diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in a Construction/Electrical Engineering related discipline, OR Electrical construction field trade experience/training/education.
  • Computer

    Skills:

    Must be proficient in using email, internet, spreadsheet, and word processing applications, specifically Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and be willing to learn new software applications.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily pass a motor vehicle record check. Must be able to meet P1 qualifications to operate a vehicle on company business. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must have access to drive a well maintained vehicle. Must have up to date registration with the local Department of Motor Vehicles.

    Both the candidate and the vehicle must be currently covered on a personal insurance policy.
