Responsibilities and Duties- Produces drawings consistent with instructions, guidelines, and standards from the Piping or Plumbing Shop Manager.
- Performs verification and preparation of support drawings to meet department requirements.
- Prepares documentation requesting clarification of original architectural design and the organization and follow‑up responses.
- Labels and dimension drawings prepared by department staff.
- Completes all project as‑built drawings per field comments.
- Plots all department drawings.
- Reads architectural and structural floor plans, sections and elevations.
- Confers with department manager and project manager staff to resolve problems.
- Understands and operates the GTP Stratus Software.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Vocational, Technical, or Junior College degree in construction science OR current member of a union pipe fitting/plumbing trade preferred but not required.
- Experience:
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of office or administrative related work experience.
- Combination of three years of related pipe fitting/plumbing trade experience and/or pipe fitting/plumbing trade training is preferred.
- Able to interpret construction drawings and prints.
- Basic knowledge of piping/plumbing trades is preferred.
- Revit or CAD experience preferred.

Must be proficient using email, internet, spreadsheet, and word processing applications: specifically Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows). - Communication
Skills:
Must be able to communicate clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations; listens and obtains clarification; responds well to questions; participates in meetings and discussions. - Mathematical
Skills:
Able to use general business and construction/engineering mathematics skills. - Must be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check and a drug screen.
