Project is located near Clifton, KS in Washington County. The project is a brownfield facility for a simple‑cycle dual‑fired power plant rated at approximately 100 MW. The scope includes installation of three Solar Titan 350 combustion turbine generators and associated balance‑of‑plant materials and equipment. Construction site mobilization is targeted for early September 2026, with onboarding and training commence a couple of months prior to mobilization.
The Construction Manager coordinates construction activities, ensuring compliance with schedule, safety, cost, and quality. The role works with the Site Manager and requires travel with a daily per diem.
Key Responsibilities- Monitors contractor activities for compliance with the CPM schedule and contract requirements.
- Monitors site access coordination.
- Reports on construction productivity and schedule performance to the Project Manager.
- Manages project budget and schedule, monitors contractor schedule recovery plans, participates in construction completion walkdowns, handover of startup packages, and punch list closure.
- Oversees field audits of owner‑supplied equipment storage by the Materials Manager.
- Participates in monthly contractor management meetings and weekly coordination meetings, monitoring schedule and commodity installation status.
- Reviews and authorizes change management, back charges, and payment requests.
- Ensures timely response to contractor RFIs and completion of the construction punch list.
- Reviews commercial and deliverable terms of construction contracts, manages engineering deliverables, and tracks construction manufacturer service technicians and timesheets.
- Monitors continuous improvement efforts and associated change management impacts.
- Adheres to safety and quality standards applicable to duties.
- Knowledge of construction technology (Simple Cycle, Combined Cycle, Circulating Fluidized Bed, Nuclear).
- Knowledge of EPC industry and constructability.
- Knowledge of project budget process and tools.
- Understanding of administrative policies and procedures.
- Experience with construction project management systems.
- Conceptual planning ability.
- Conflict management and leadership skills (team building, coaching, mentoring, change management, advising).
- Multi‑tasking ability (prioritization, organization, scheduling).
- Problem‑solving skills (identify, analyze, research, evaluate, resolve).
- Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or related field preferred, or relevant field experience.
- 14+ years of construction supervisory experience, including at least 3 years as a construction manager.
- OSHA training.
- Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (background checks, drug screen, motor vehicle records search).

- Stand, kneel, bend, stoop, move, and walk long distances in or around confined, cluttered, and uneven areas.

- Work up to a 12‑hour shift, subject to hard physical labor in varying temperature extremes and outdoor conditions.
- Typical construction site environment: cramped work spaces, awkward positions, very hot or very cold temperatures, exposure to dust, wind, snow, rain, bright or low lighting, sounds and noise, hazardous equipment.
