Position Overview
Position: .50 FTE Lecturer in Educational Psychology, in‑person courses on KU Lawrence campus beginning Fall 2026. One academic year (8/18/2026-5/16/2027), non‑tenure track, eligible for reappointment under university procedures.
We look for educators committed to teaching excellence at the university level.
Non‑tenure position with up to a 3‑year limited term contract, possibility of renewal based on comprehensive evaluation.
Candidate must be eligible to work in the U.S. by effective date of appointment.
Teaching Responsibilities- Teach two 3.0 credit hour courses each semester in the Educational Psychology department (undergraduate and graduate), focusing on child and adolescent development.
- Supervise graduate teaching assistants.
- Serve on student committees (thesis, dissertation, comprehensive exam).
- Contribute to program evaluation and curricular improvements.
- Contribute to the mission of the department and university through service activities focused on teaching and student success.
- Engage in scholarship and/or professional development related to teaching.
- Maintain regular weekly office hours to provide academic support and guidance to students.
- Attend and participate in monthly department faculty meetings.
- Doctoral degree in educational psychology, developmental psychology, human development, or a closely related field.
- At least one year of higher education teaching experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels as evidenced by application materials.
- Willingness to collaborate with other program faculty in continuous improvement efforts as evidenced by application materials.
- Complete application includes: cover letter, resume/CV, statement of teaching and mentoring experience and interests, names and contact information for three professional references, unofficial transcripts, and teaching evaluations for up to five recently taught classes (if available).

Advertised salary range: $29,000 for .50 FTE.
