Job DetailsFull‑Time, FTE 1.0, Hours per Day 8.0, Days per Year 188 (new teachers) / 186 (returning teachers), School Year 2026‑27.
Salary$51,000 to $82,942 per year.

Qualifications- Kansas Teaching Certificate or License
- “Highly qualified” status according to KSDE and federal regulations
- SPED and/or ESL endorsement preferred
- Other qualifications accepted per board discretion
- Build instruction upon previously learned materials.
- Use a variety of teaching materials and techniques appropriate for the content area and for all students.
- Provide regular assessment of student needs and progress.
- Provide appropriate reteaching, adaptation, and extensions as needed.
- Document evidence of individual student learning.
- Prepare for assigned classes and demonstrate preparation.
- Demonstrate effective skills in reading, writing, math, and speaking as necessary.
- Demonstrate command of the subject matter to be taught.
- Implement the district’s written curriculum and state/district assessment program.
- Commit to learning and applying new instructional and technology skills.
- Collaborate with staff on planning curriculum, instructional goals, objectives, methods, and assessments.
- Attend and participate in staff/team meetings.
- Cooperate with others regarding the selection, use, and sharing of books, equipment, and instructional materials.
- Take precautions to protect students and equipment.
- Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Communicate with students, parents, colleagues, and others as related to the assignment.
- Maintain professional and ethical standards.
- Meet students/all participants at designated location and times.
- Uphold and enforce school rules, district policies, and administrative regulations.
- Maintain state certification/licensure standards for the field.
- Maintain licensure in Kansas.
- Speak clearly and audibly to various groups.
- Compose written communication for varied audiences.
- Analyze situations quickly and provide prompt advice.
- Respond to information requests courteously and timely.
- Use appropriate software on district computer systems and communication equipment.
- Manage responsibilities while meeting deadlines.
- Work constructively and cooperatively with others.
Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
