Position Overview
The Department of Health, Sport, and Exercise Sciences at the University of Kansas seeks an Assistant Teaching Professor and Undergraduate Internship Coordinator in Sport Management. The role includes teaching undergraduate courses and leading the internship program. The appointment is a 9‑month, full‑time position starting August 18, 2025.
Job Description- Teaching (60%) – Nine credit hours per semester (Fall & Spring) in Sport Management, teaching three face‑to‑face or hybrid courses per semester (excluding Pre‑Internship and Internship).
- Internship Coordinator (20%) – Supervise all aspects of the undergraduate internship program, serve as instructor for Pre‑Internship Seminar, manage internship sites, oversee interns (including case‑study option), and conduct site visits within a 50‑mile radius.
- Service (10%) – Contribute to department, school, and university service mission.
- Scholarly Engagement (10%) – Conduct course transformation, learning‑outcomes assessment, pedagogical development, and related scholarly activities.
- Ph.D., Ed.D., or terminal degree (or ABD) in Sports Management or related field.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. by the effective appointment date.
