Senior Geotechnical Engineer – Deputy Head of Department | Abu Dhabi
Stafford Lawrence Ltd has been tasked with an urgent search for an Arabic National Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join a premier D&B Foundation Contractor as Deputy Head of Department
.
Our client is looking to conclude the interview process and mobilize the successful candidate within one month.
The RoleBased in Abu Dhabi, you will lead a focused technical team of 5 employees
, driving the strategy for Design & Build (D&B) foundations. This role requires a high-energy leader who can immediately take over project workloads, handle complex Plaxis 3D modeling, and manage high-level Arabic-language liaison with local authorities and municipalities.
Immediate Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a dedicated team of 5 designers and engineers.
D&B Design: Oversee the technical delivery of bored/secant piles, diaphragm walls, and ground improvement schemes.
Value Engineering: Rapidly optimize foundation designs to meet project deadlines and commercial targets.
Authority Liaison: Utilize native Arabic fluency to expedite approvals with Abu Dhabi Municipality and other regional bodies.
Due to the urgency of this hire, candidates must meet all criteria below:
Nationality:
Arabic National (Native Arabic Speaker is mandatory).Availability: Priority will be given to candidates who are immediately available or have a maximum 1-month notice period
.Experience: 12–15 years in Geotechnical Engineering, with a mandatory background working for a Piling/Foundation Contractor
.Education: Master’s Degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering.
Software: Expert proficiency in Plaxis 3D and SAFE
.
Package: 28,000 – 38,000 AED per month (Tax-Free).
