COMPANY OVERVIEWBlanchard AE Group is a small but fast growing Mechanical/Electrical Consulting Engineering firm located in Lawrence Kansas with Licensed Professional Engineers in 42 states and the District of Columbia. We provide Engineering Design Services for HVAC, Plumbing, Power, Lighting, Fire Alarm, Fire Protection and Special Systems for commercial, institutional, medical, military and industrial projects. The Company leadership has over 24 years of experience working with and providing design services to large Corporations throughout the United States.

- B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an Accredited Program
- Design experience on Commercial, Industrial, educational, and/or medical Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing building systems
- AutoCAD/Revit, BIM, Trane/Trace, IES and Microsoft Office skills required
- Knowledge in building codes
- Effective interpersonal skill and collaborative management style to include teamwork and team building ability
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Prepare concept, schematic design, design development and construction documents
- Responsible for HVAC engineering design including: calculating heating and cooling loads, select equipment, layout duct and piping, create and edit project details, and write and edit project engineering specifications
- Responsible for plumbing systems design including calculating capacities and loads, laying out piping systems and details, and editing project specifications
- Electrical (not required but preferred) lighting calculations & circuiting, Power System layout and circuiting, and editing project specifications
- Site surveys to assess, evaluate, and document existing conditions
- Maintain and archive electronic project files
- Attend project meetings as required
- Participate in team mentoring activities
- Assure drawings and designs are in accordance with local codes and design standards
- Coordination with architectural and other engineering disciplines as applicable
- Client contact as required for Design and Site Observation (Travel may be required)
- Working under the direct supervision of a Project Manager or Principal in Charge (PM/PIC)
