Role Description

The Senior Packaging Engineer will be responsible for leading and executing packaging design projects, delivering innovative and sustainable packaging solutions. This full‑time, on‑site role in Lawrence, KS will involve developing and testing packaging materials, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, and contributing to product commercialization. The position will also require managing packaging‑related projects, ensuring timelines and objectives are met, and staying abreast of industry trends to drive continuous improvement in packaging efficiency and performance.

Qualifications
  • Expertise in Packaging Engineering and Packaging Design, with a focus on creating functional and cost‑effective solutions.
  • Experience in Research and Development (R&D) and evaluating new materials and technologies.
  • Proficiency in Project Management, with the ability to lead cross‑functional teams and ensure timely project completion.
  • Knowledge in Mechanical Engineering concepts related to packaging systems and equipment.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and an innovative approach to challenges.
  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field required.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices and trends in the packaging industry is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively in team environments.
