SVP, Clinical Innovation is accountable for designing, piloting, scaling, and operationalizing clinical innovation initiatives that improve quality, utilization, patient experience, and financial performance across Vytalize’s value-based care portfolio.
This role exists to ensure Vytalize remains a market-leading, execution-oriented innovator in value-based care, with scalable clinical programs that support MSSP, ACO REACH, Medicare Advantage, and future CMS models.
What You Will Do Strategy-to-Execution Program Design- Design and deploy care model innovations that address the needs of high-risk and chronically ill populations within MSSP, ACO REACH, and other risk-based arrangements.
- Translate strategic priorities, performance gaps, and population insights into clear operating models, workflows, and program plans that can be executed at scale.
- Lead the end-to-end execution of experimental pilots and new care programs, including scoping, implementation planning, stakeholder coordination, and performance evaluation.
- Own pilot design through launch, iteration, and transition to scale—ensuring initiatives are practical into operational care delivery.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Analytics to inform care delivery workflows, clinical tooling, decision support, and reporting requirements that enable scalable value-based care execution.
- Apply strong financial and analytical discipline to assess ROI, cost avoidance, utilization impact, and scalability of innovation initiatives. Define success metrics, interpret performance data, and deliver clear, executive-ready recommendations on whether to scale, iterate, or sunset programs.
- Act as a connector between centralized strategy and frontline execution. Collaborate closely with Clinical Performance, Vytal Care, Network, Product, and Finance teams to ensure programs are operationally feasible, adopted in the field, and aligned to provider workflows.
- Incorporate real-world feedback to continuously improve program design.
- Owns day-to-day strategy and execution for assigned innovation initiatives.
- Makes recommendations on pilot continuation, scaling, or retirement.
- Influences product roadmap priorities related to care delivery and analytics.
- Escalates trade-offs, risks, and investment considerations as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Health Care Administration, Public Health, or a related field required.
- Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, MPH, or similar) preferred but not required.
- Equivalent experience in healthcare strategy, consulting, or value-based care program leadership may be considered in lieu of advanced degrees.
- 7–12 years of experience in clinical strategy, innovation, healthcare operations, population health, or value-based care.
- Demonstrated experience executing clinical programs or pilots in risk-based environments.
- Direct involvement in designing and scaling care delivery programs.
- Strong understanding of MSSP, ACO REACH, Medicare Advantage, or similar models.
- Proven experience operating across Product, Operations, and Clinical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Experience with digital health, clinical workflows, or care management programs.
- Consulting or transformation experience.
- Current awareness of healthcare industry trends and regulatory changes.
