Non-Certified Medical Aide

Full-Time, Non-Exempt (Hourly: $17.00 - $20.00)

The Non-Certified Medical Aide assists with patient care and helps to keep the flow of duties running smoothly. They must uphold the company’s policies and procedures and must always act within ethical boundaries. The Non-Certified Medical Aide must have strong customer service and communication skills. This position is designated as a full-time role. Employees must be able to maintain regular attendance and work a full-time schedule consistent with departmental and organizational needs.

• Respond to patient flow changes appropriately.
• Monitor well child and sick visits to ensure patient availability for physician care.
• Communicate efficiently with nurses and other medical staff to optimize patient flow.
• Room patients and perform vitals, weight, height, head measurement, hearing and vision tests and documentation as necessary.
• Anticipate procedures and provide equipment as instructed by nurse or physician; provide assistance as requested.
• Complete forms as requested.
• Clean and stock exam rooms daily and as needed.
• Enter immunization records as needed.
• Assist with lab collection and requisitions.
• Maintain nursing work stations.
• Cooperate with all nursing and front office staff to ensure efficient patient care.
• Function as part of the team and communicate with all team members.
• Follow OSHA and HIPAA and practice policies and procedures.
• Remain calm and professional in all situations.
• Demonstrate initiative and use time efficiently.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be actively pursuing or planning to pursue a career in medicine (e.g., pre‑med or medical school interest required)
• Current Basic Life Support Certification
• Basic Computer Knowledge
• Ability to lift 30lbs

• Sits and walks throughout the day.
• Subject to many interruptions.

• Job tasks are performed in close physical proximity to other people.
• Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.

• Required to spend long hours on the computer entering various forms of data which requires attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
• Required to spend long hours in intense concentration.
• Required to spend hours sitting and using office equipment and computers, which can cause muscle strain.
• Required to read, write and speak English.
• Requires sufficient hearing level to be able to effectively communicate with people directly or by telephone.
• Occasionally lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.

• Hours M-F from 7:30am - 6:00pm as needed (Saturdays 7:30am - 12:00pm as needed)
• Hours are approximate and may be altered by supervisor(s) as needed.
• Shifts are generally 8 hours in length in clinic.
• Full‑Time Employees have an expected workweek of 40 hours.
