** The Role -*
* ** What You’ll Do
** Our Physical Therapy Assistants are key members of the care team, helping patients restore function, improve mobility, and enhance quality of life under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.
* Provide direct physical therapy interventions to support patient recovery and outcomes.
* Assist with treatment planning, documentation, and communication of patient progress.
* Collaborate with patients and the care team to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care.
* Maintain a safe, efficient therapy environment following established protocols.
** Qualifications -*
* ** What We're Looking For
*** Graduation from accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program
* Current State Licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant
*** required
* *** BLS/CPR Certification required
* While 1 year of direct patient care experience in a rehabilitation hospital is preferred; new grads are encouraged to apply.
** Physical requirements -*
* ** What you need to know
*** A significant amount of standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling, often for prolonged periods of time.
* Both gross and precise motor functions.
* Lifting/exerting of up to 50 lbs.
* Possible exposure to bodily fluids.
* Visual acuity required for patient assessment and documentation of care.
* Acute hearing required for accurate patient assessment.
* Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard.
