Position Summary & Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The position (K0240286) works with subrecipients to ensure completion of work plans, deliverables, and other contract requirements. Monitors document submissions for accuracy and completeness, ensuring they meet work plan deliverable requirements and comply with federal cooperative agreement requirements. Oversee the 7 HCC coordinators and HCC fiscal agent subrecipient agreements. Monitors adherence to the Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) grant requirements and Healthcare Coordinator and HCC Fiscal Agent agreements.

Interpret federal guidelines and policies and complete state-level cooperative agreement requirements. Tracks and monitors preparedness inventory for expiration dates and medical material quality control considerations. Manages inventory levels and stock rotation, advising product replacement in accordance with good inventory management processes as directed by Preparedness Inventory Management Protocols and Policies (IMPPS). Coordinates with the Grants Team on storage vendor contracting and payment schedule.

Maintains updates to the Preparedness IMPPS and manages fit testing equipment. Lead the statewide healthcare coalition steering committee and quarterly meetings with the RRCs. Develops and conducts presentations and webinars, as needed, throughout the State of Kansas for coalition members, including management on various aspects of the HPP program. Travels throughout the state to regional healthcare coalition meetings to maintain two-way communication and coordinate all preparedness planning and response efforts effectively.

Plays an active role in fostering an environment where public health, KDHE team members, and Healthcare Coalitions are encouraged to share ideas, collaborate, and innovate.
