Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide in-person services in a K-12 school setting for the school year. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping students develop communication skills that support academic achievement, social interaction, and overall success.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, delivering therapy services, and collaborating with educational teams to support student growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students in grades K-12.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy programs and IEP goals based on student needs.
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services in individual and group settings.
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of services and outcomes.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and families.
- Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and professional standards.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility for licensure in Kansas.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Strong understanding of speech and language assessment tools, intervention strategies, and IEP processes.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Previous school-based experience preferred but not required.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative educational environment.
- Must meet all applicable federal, state, and local employment requirements.
- Current CPR certification, TB screening, and health documentation may be required based on assignment guidelines.
