Risk Manager/Analyst, Financial Compliance
CB Partners is partnering with a well‑established firm in Lawrence seeking a strategic and people‑focused Director of Accounts Receivable. This leader will oversee collections strategy, drive process improvements, and lead a team of 10 while collaborating cross‑functionally to strengthen the firm’s financial performance. This role is ideal for a creative, project‑minded professional who enjoys building high‑performing teams and optimizing operations.
What You’ll Do- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 10 AR/Collections professionals
- Oversee end‑to‑end collections operations, firm client collections, dispute management, and escalations
- Build and implement improved processes, reporting, and workflow efficiencies
- Partner closely with internal leadership, clients, and cross‑functional departments
- Monitor aging, set collection targets, and drive accountability to meet KPIs
- Review and improve credit policies, payment plans, and communication standards
- Analyze trends, identify risks, and present insights to senior leadership
- Ensure compliance with firm policies, contractual requirements, and financial controls
- Support system enhancements, technology transitions, and new process rollouts
- Handle high‑level or sensitive client communications related to outstanding balances
- Deep knowledge of AR, collections, credit, and revenue cycle processes
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold teams accountable
- Excellent communication skills—clear, professional, and client‑focused
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
Comfortable improving workflows, leading projects, and driving change - High attention to detail combined with a strategic mindset
- Ability to manage deadlines and thrive in a dynamic environment
- Required: 5–7+ years of AR/Collections experience, including leadership of teams
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Preferred: Experience with AR, ERP, or collections workflow systems
