Description

Position Overview:

To help the facility reach our goal to be the "Best Company in the World", a successful candidate will strategically plan, direct, and lead the implementation of safety programs and guidelines through member ownership.

Responsibilities:

  • Create the "Safest" Company in the World through continuous improvement, ownership, member engagement, and drive
  • Own the facility safety effort through the implementation, and direction of processes and programs to meet operational needs while maintaining and managing safety compliance to world class safety standards
  • Lead and implement environmental management systems to monitor and mitigate the environmental impact of the organization’s activities and ensure all organizational processes meet the required standards
  • Ensure adherence to safety policies performing regular audits and addressing instances of non-compliance;
    Compile detailed and comprehensive reports and maintain meticulous records as mandated by law
  • Serves as the emergency response coordinator and works in conjunction with emergency services to conduct a thorough investigation of incidents to determine the root causes and preventive measures
  • Facilitate Safety education and training throughout the membership. Ensure safety is part of day-to-day activities and inserted into every part of the business
  • Create and maintain a safety culture that leverages member ownership, involvement, and personal accountability
  • Take an active role in the Corporate Safety Leadership team and facilitate the sharing of ideas between facilities at the corporate level
  • Actively participate as a member of the site Core Team
  • Facilitate the Safety Team to lead and ensure compliance with all governmental safety regulations, procedures, guidelines and best practices
  • Develop and lead efforts on the attainment of all safety key performance indicators
  • Lead safety compliance evaluations for facility specific requirements
  • Own the Workers Compensation Claims and Property Insurance claims for the site. Proactively communicate with members and Work Comp carrier to ensure case resolution.
  • Actively participate in continuous learning to grow knowledge and skills through classes, webcasts/seminars, OSHA compliance trainings
  • Responsible for the site Hazmat plan, training and execution
  • Actively support the onsite wastewater treatment facility
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned
