A growing, respected law firm is seeking an experienced, strategic, and collaborative Legal Administrator to drive operational excellence. In this pivotal role, you'll partner with firm leadership to oversee accounting, human resources, and office services functions—directly supporting the firm's growth and creating a high-performing workplace culture.
This is a full-time, exempt position requiring on-site presence. Standard business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
What You'll Do
Take ownership of accounts receivable operations, including monthly billing and collections. Manage accounts payable, payroll reporting, office bookkeeping, and financial reporting. Ensure accurate banking records and maintain firm financial health.
Human Resources & People Operations
Supervise non-exempt staff and oversee all HR functions: onboarding, employee relations, separations, and benefits administration. Develop and implement company-wide HR initiatives and policies that strengthen our workplace culture.
Operations, Facilities & Technology
Manage day-to-day administrative operations including facilities, office services, equipment, vendor relations, and IT support. Develop and maintain firm policies and procedures that ensure stable, efficient operations and effective resource management.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of accounting, management, or administrative experience—law firm experience is preferred
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. You're flexible, highly organized, and comfortable working independently while managing competing priorities.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, client trust fund management, and proficiency with legal practice management software (e.g., Actionstep, Soluno, or similar platforms)
- Strong problem-solving ability with the drive to identify challenges and implement effective solutions
- Ability to communicate professionally and diplomatically with attorneys, clients, staff, and vendors while maintaining strict confidentiality
- Demonstrated conflict-resolution skills and commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture
- Sense of urgency and commitment to exceeding internal and external client expectations
- Leadership mindset with the ambition to take ownership and drive results
