Job Description
Purpose:
To perform tasks that support the efficient operation, troubleshooting, and optimization of automated production systems.
- Perform automation-related duties with minimum supervision.
- Conduct scheduled and preventative maintenance on robots, automated equipment, sensors, conveyors, and related control systems.
- Assist employees in all departments and facilities with troubleshooting automation issues.
- Keep automation work areas, robots, and peripheral equipment neat and orderly.
- Demonstrate willingness to receive training and progress in the automation/controls field.
- Obtain parts in times of emergency to minimize downtime.
- Take control of equipment when a situation arises that has the potential for personal injury or rapid deterioration of automated machinery.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Have mechanical and electrical/controls aptitude.
- Accept responsibility for work performed.
- Dependable and motivated with a good work history.
- Able to participate in an apprenticeship or technical training program.
- Able to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and automation diagrams.
- Good reading comprehension and math skills.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds overhead.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to waist.
- Must be able to work around grease, oils and solvents without adverse reaction.
- Ability to climb up and down ladders.
- Must be able to stand, walk bend or stoop through an entire shift.
- Good manual dexterity of arms and fingers.
- Must have 20/20 vision with correction and must be able to differentiate color.
12 hour shifts: 7pm to 7am
Starting pay: $29.75/hour plus $1.00 shift differential while working on nights
