The Dot's Pretzels brand has seen an enormous amount of growth, so we are looking for employees to come be a part of our team in the Lawrence, KS location.

Pay
  • Starting at $21.65/hr
  • Shift differential of $2/hr for overnight shifts
  • $1/hr pay increase after 6 months of good standing employment

Shift
  • 2-2-3 schedule, every other weekend off, working 4 days one week:
    Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat, and 3 days the next week:
    Sun, Wed, Thurs
  • 12hr day shift available

Job Summary

Responsible for staging, loading, and unloading finished product and raw materials as well as stocking and maintaining warehouse inventory.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Safely operate all Material Handling Equipment and perform the necessary safety checks prior to operating.
  • Always maintain food safety awareness and immediately report any issues to management.
  • Receive material in from vendors, customers, or other warehouses accurately and promptly using scanners and inventory programs.
  • Verify the quantity, lot, and description of materials received by checking against the packing list and/or bill of lading (report/record any discrepancies).
  • Perform all necessary inspections and verifications.
  • Correctly attach identifying tag or labels to materials as needed.
  • Safely and accurately place materials on shelves, in racks, or other designated storage areas to maintain the identity of preserved food, FIFO picking philosophy, and orderliness.
  • Make all necessary transactions within inventory programs to ensure inventory accuracy and lot control is always maintained.
  • Comprehend the reading of shipping & receiving documents, gauges, schedules, and dispatches.
  • Accurate and timely staging of finished goods and raw materials.
  • Accurate and timely loading of materials onto containers, trailers, vans, and/or cars.
  • Move materials in and out of storage safely and without damage.
  • Check shipping documents for accuracy prior to making copies for the driver.
  • Clean and maintain work area per the daily checklist and master sanitation schedule (MSS).
  • Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Forklift certification, M.H.E. Certification.
Required Skills / Abilities
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
  • Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
  • Computer and data entry skills required.
  • Shipping and receiving entry experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous forklift experience – sit-down (2 years preferred).
  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.
