The Lawrence, Kansas facility is 236,000 square feet and home to about 155 hard‑working team members who produce iconic pet food brands like Kibbles 'n Bits®. Lawrence is a college town and the home of the University of Kansas and Haskell Indian Nations University, with Kansas State University about 85 miles away. The city has a thriving music and art scene and is home to the University of Kansas athletic teams.
ResponsibilitiesStarting rate: $24.45 per hour
The Post Consumer Brands facility in Lawrence, KS operates on a 24/7 production schedule. Team members will work:
- D Shift: Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and every other Friday 6:00pm-6:00am
- Shift premium: $1.50 per hour
In the Packaging Operator role, you will:
- Operate and maintain packaging equipment to optimize efficiency and reduce/ eliminate downtime.
- Perform reliability tests on equipment such as metal detectors and scales for food safety and quality assurance.
- Perform accurate, timely collection of data and product samples.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary and orderly work area to ensure employee and food safety.
- Possess a high school diploma or a GED.
- Ability to comply with a strict attendance policy.
- Desire to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability and willingness to communicate with cross‑functional teams.
- Experience in food manufacturing preferred.
