Production Operator

Responsibilities

• Safe and effective operation and minor adjustments of all packaging equipment.
• Proper handling, packaging, labeling, coding and marking of product.
• Accurate and timely sampling of materials and communicating to lab.
• Accurate and timely documentation of the production day.
• Maintaining a safe, healthy and clean work environment.
• Reporting all accidents or near misses to Lead/Supervisor.
• Supporting other production lines and assisting Spray Operators when needed.
• Regular on-time attendance.
• Proper and timely communication of equipment performance to Operators/Leads.
• Effective evaluation of the quality of all packaging raw materials consumed in the operation and reporting any defects to Lead/Supervisor.
• Ensuring all product change‑overs are completed efficiently and promptly.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a group in accordance with company safety and sanitation standards.
• Basic computer skills:
  Access, Outlook and SharePoint.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Ability to work on feet for the majority of the day.
• Moderate to heavy stair climbing (including vertical ladders).

This position operates in a production/plant environment 95% of the time. It requires lifting up to 55 lbs. (25 kg) and willingness to work in hot and/or cold environments, dusty conditions, and to wear half or full‑face respirators when necessary.
