Opportunity Compensation
$17.25 hourly (+ 1.00/hr Night Shift Premium)
Core Responsibilities- Follow standard operating instructions and procedures, including inspection and safe operation of powered industrial vehicles, housekeeping, and inventory management.
- Operate powered industrial vehicles across the facility, including unloading bulk and palletized trailers.
- Regulate blending of materials to achieve specified product consistency and moisture.
- Assist with inventory and perform housekeeping duties to maintain orderliness throughout the plant.
- Support the plant’s Environmental Management System policy by following established environmental procedures, reporting issues, and understanding emergency steps.
- Operate equipment safely to protect company assets and reduce risks to coworkers.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to work with bakery waste products, some containing allergens (e.g., peanuts).
- Read and understand safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
- Work an average of 50‑hour weeks, including nights, holidays, and weekends as required.
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment, forklifts, tractors, or other powered industrial vehicles preferred.
- Obtain and maintain certifications such as weigh master, forklift, articulated loader, skid steer, tractor, etc.
- Work well in a fast‑paced, dynamic team environment and demonstrate respect, approachability, and teamwork.
Occasional lifting/moving of up to 60 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, use of hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and vocalization. The plant environment includes wet or humid conditions, extreme cold and heat, moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals. Noise level is usually moderate but can be loud in production areas.
