We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and mission-driven Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and strengthen health services for adults with disabilities across our residential and community-based programs.
This leadership role is ideal for an experienced RN who is passionate about improving health outcomes, developing nursing teams, and creating systems that support high-quality, person‑centered care.
The Director of Nursing oversees all health services operations for individuals supported by Good Life Innovations. This includes leading nursing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, coordinating wellness and telehealth services, supporting medication administration systems, and collaborating closely with families, providers, and interdisciplinary teams. The DON serves as a key clinical leader focused on promoting healthy lifestyles, quality healthcare outcomes, and exceptional support experiences for the people we serve.
Responsibilities- Lead, supervise, mentor, and develop a team of nurses
- Oversee Wellness and Telehealth Clinic operations
- Coordinate preventative care and acute health assessments
- Support high‑quality medication administration practices and training
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, licensing standards, and medical documentation requirements
- Serve as liaison during licensing surveys and reviews
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, pharmacies, and community providers
- Participate in policy development, clinical procedures, and quality improvement initiatives
- Track health outcomes data and support continuous improvement efforts
- Assist with health services budgeting and operational planning
- Active, unrestricted RN license in Kansas
- Ability to obtain multi‑state licensure within 60 days of hire
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, preferred
- 2–3+ years of relevant RN experience required
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Comfortable using Google Workspace applications
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between locations
- Unique and traditional schedules (3, 4, & 5 day workweeks)
