Position: IDD Clinical Services Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse)
Location: Lawrence, KS
Salary: $60,000 - $65,000
Good Life Innovations is seeking a Clinical Services Nurse to monitor and respond to health needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and other special needs. If you are a Licensed Practical Nurse interested in supporting individuals with disabilities to lead meaningful and healthy lives, this role may be for you.
Responsibilities- Conduct physical assessments, monitor health and dietary needs, and administer first aid, medications, and other health care procedures according to physician instructions.
- Promote high-quality medication administration by training staff to reduce errors, implementing best‑practice procedures, and tracking/following up on medication errors.
- Coordinate healthcare appointments and accompany persons served and staff at specialty appointments.
- Ensure proper implementation of care and compliance with health‑care policies by carrying the designated company cell phone, responding to calls, and periodically serving as the designated on‑call nurse.
- Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule for after‑hours or weekend nursing needs.
- Current and valid Kansas Licensed Practical Nurse license and driver’s license.
- Experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (preferred).
- Ability to physically assist individuals served with or without adaptive equipment.
- Strong computer skills, specifically with Google applications, and ability to learn and utilize computer‑based health records systems.
- Flexibility in assigned working hours and location based on client needs.
